It was annoying, but I didn't feel like dealing with it. Spending nearly $17 on just a small sandwich and side dish, without even a drink included, felt pretty steep.
Kal’lish is a delightful restaurant with a fantastic array of pastries! I absolutely love their lavender lemon cupcake. I was pleasantly surprised to find a last-minute vegan birthday cake from their freezer section.
While waiting for my friend, I had a pleasant conversation with Ryan, who was working at the counter. He was such a delightful person - friendly and well-informed about the menu. He is definitely a valuable asset to Kalish.
Super delicious. Yeah it's a bit expensive but that's to be expected if everything is fresh AND vegan. I'm not planning to eat there every day. But as a treat it's soooooo worth it. Even if you're not vegan you should eat here. We had just about everything on the menu and each item was more delicious than the last. Next time we'll try to leave room to try some of those insane desserts. Only down side was they are not byob and they only offered a few cans of beer. No wine. Sad face. Make it byob and it's celebration time!
I finally got a chance to come to Kal'ish earlier this week for lunch. I had the fried fish sandwich and the cherry dessert and my partner had the fried chicken sandwich w the banana pudding. Sooooo freaking good! The fish sandwich was perfectly fried and very moist and accompanied with yummy veggies and a house made tartar sauce. The sandwich was perfect, but the tartar sauce did not have much taste to it, in my opinion. Both sandwiches came with a choice of side we both got the salad which had cheese, black beans, tomatos, cucumbers and homemade balsamic. The menu here at Kal'ish is extensive and I look forward to going back to trying more items!
