Initially, we encountered an unfriendly employee, but then a very friendly waitress took care of us. The restaurant is BYOB and while they didn't have wine glasses, they did provide an ice bucket. As of May 22, indoor seating was the only option. As of July 2022, most of the rolls were filled with cucumber and crunch (see photos 3 and 4 for images of the spicy tuna roll). The service was great, but the sushi itself was of low quality. Overall, it wasn't worth taking advantage of the all-you-can-eat deal unless you enjoy rolls with lots of cucumber and crunch.
Do not eat here. This was the worst dining experience I have ever had. During my visit, some key issues included: Food took over an hour to be served and we were the only table in the restaurant. There was only one waitress who kept disappearing for long periods of time. The waitress neglected to bring us small plates until 15 minutes after the appetizers were served (even after we requested them multiple times). Additionally, the waitress brought us several dishes we did not order and refused to take them back. Some dishes were prepared incorrectly (such as spicy mayo and eel sauce on sweet red bean sesame balls). Fruit flies were found on the sushi when it arrived and the sushi rice was not properly seasoned. The kitchen only made half of our order and the waitress did not seem concerned when we brought it to her attention. Half of our appetizers were served at the end of our meal. After two hours at the restaurant, we had to leave. Despite asking twice, the waitress refused to give me the remainder of my order. She mentioned I could reorder my items but I couldn't take them to go, so I ended up not receiving them. They overcharged us by $8 and refused to provide an itemized receipt. I am disappointed that several people in our group fell ill hours later (I recommend checking the health inspection records on Yelp, as the restaurant has 8 health code violations from January 2022). As a response to the owner: I ordered the "all you can eat" dinner option and requested to take my uneaten sushi to go. I did not receive the food I originally ordered after waiting for 2 hours, so I asked for it to go because I needed to leave. I paid the full $27.95 for the "all you can eat" option and an additional $8 that was incorrectly charged. It is unfair to charge extra for the food that was part of the "all you can eat" option but was not provided. Lastly, the restaurant was busy when we arrived; we were not the only customers.
This is the most authentic ramen I have ever had in Chicago! And I have tried many. I ordered the highest level of spiciness, level 5, and it was absolutely perfect.
The place is one of the best Asians restaurants I have ever tried in my existence. I am going to give it 5 stars because the food is amazing but it would actually be 4 stars because the food could be free. I would recommend everyone from everywhere tocome here and tried the Godzilla sushi roll and the fried chicken ramen.
I got a sushi platter, the fish was not fresh and tasted mushy and smoky, it was also cut paper thin (see photo) Pretty sure the Tuna was not tuna, not the right color, texture it flavor Nothing I got tasted great, it was bland, not fresh, and thewrong texture I cannot suggest their sushi, maybe their ramen is better?
