I was delighted to find the Lotus Leave Sticky Rice with chicken without pork or shrimp while the rest of the ladies complained it is not authentic without them. Nonetheless, they hit all the right spots for dim sum reminiscent of childhood. So for the nostalgia of seeing the square from the floor to ceiling picture window, for the authentic Cantonese flavors, the great chrysanthemum tea, the witty waiter and attentive service, a 5 star is warranted to keep the legacy of this place going in Chicago Chinatown. Besides, they updated their menu to be quite veg. friendly. So no excuse go find something yum!
A Chicago Institution. Good food. Excellent Waiting service. Good prices. If you never had Dim Sum. Please try this place.
Really enjoyed dim sum here. It has all the standard selections you would expect and everything was delicious. Service was super prompt and they never let your tea pot go lower than halfway. Recommend going here early when they open to avoid crowds.
Service was wonderful and food was delicious. At first I thought it was expensive, but the portion sizes make it worth the cost. I love that we could share amongst the table. We had shrimp egg fo young, Mongolian beef, sesame chicken, and some appetizers. Yes we have leftovers.
Affordable, good quality, decent amount of options, great service. Fried taro, shiu mai, rice in lotus leaves were especially good. Busy over the weekend. Check if you can get a voucher for parking.
