We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try a Michelin rated restaurant. We had heard great reviews for this place. We thoroughly enjoyed the tasting menu which was the legacy menu. Each course was a mini surprise of flavors, textures and artfully presented. The ambience was quiet, good outlook to chicago’s Downtown with wall to ceiling windows. We were seated by the window. Service was impeccable, friendly. Each time a new dish was served, the ingredients and composition were explained. We did not do any wine pairings but all the other tables did. Our favorite dishes had sweet components (appetizer rhubarb snacks, and the desserts). We learned that Sixteen was closing down at the end of the month and being reconfigured to a new concept which I’m sure will still bring in crowds.
Amazing restaurant. Food and service were second to none. The views are spectacular. It is great.
We were there for a late lunch, so it was probably quieter than usual, but the food and service was amazing. The carrot cake for dessert was truly a show stopper!
Very enjoyable experience. Quality service and excellent food. Went with tasting menu and nothing disappointed.
