Steadfast - Chicago

Steadfast is situated in a hotel, but it does not feel like it. During our visit on a Saturday evening, the atmosphere was unexpectedly calm with just a few people at the bar. Despite the small crowd, the lovely decorations, exceptional service, and amazing food (especially the bread basket!) made our dining experience enjoyable. We are hoping that on different nights, the restaurant is more lively, as we cannot wait to visit again.

I gave it a low rating because the pastrami was so tough I was unable to eat it. Our waiter only came around once so I couldn't ask him to bring me something else. The other food that my dining partners ate was fine. I was disappointed.

The food and drinks were amazing. The service was excellent. I will definitely be coming back.

I made a good decision by choosing this restaurant for restaurant week. All three courses were excellent.

I enjoyed my meal and the service was excellent, but I was disappointed to pay $10 for only 2 ounces of salmon added to my salad. Additionally, I was seated next to an angled wall near the entrance, which made it challenging for me to maneuver in and out of my seat and sit comfortably at the table. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was outstanding, however, the overall experience did not justify the high cost.
