Storyville - Chicago

Our food was late but the hostess was extremely nice about it and we love the food and ambience.

I brought my wife out for a date night. Neither one of us had been to Storyville before but I was given a glowing recommendation and I had to bring the wife out for a night on the town. We thoroughly enjoyed Storyville and will bring other friends and family with us.

Our experience began on a positive note with Jessica, the hostess, who was exceptional. The food was truly outstanding! However, the only downside was the long wait time for both ordering and receiving our meals. Overall, our dining experience was enjoyable, but the delay was noticeable. The manager did apologize and even offered us a discount on our bill, which was a nice touch. I would definitely return, primarily due to the excellent treatment we received. She explained that they were short-staffed and genuinely wanted us to know how sorry she was for the inconvenience. The food was absolutely worth the wait, so I would happily go back!

I really enjoyed the food and the atmosphere. The only downside was that our meals didn't come out of the kitchen at the same time. In my group of four, one person received their meal 10 minutes before the next one arrived. Then, another 10 minutes passed before the third meal was served, and by the time the fourth person's meal arrived, the first two had already finished eating. It would be great if all the dishes could be served together. Even the desserts arrived in the same staggered manner.

Hands down one of the best restaurants if you’re looking for New Orleans cuisine and great hospitality . The food, drink’s and service was excellent!! Huge shoutout to Jessica! She was friendly and made great recommendations. I will definitely return! Thanks again!
