The Halal Guys (division, Il) - Chicago

I ordered the chicken and beef, and it was one of the most unappetizing meals I've ever encountered. I couldn't finish it at all. The only way anyone might enjoy it is by smothering it in sauce to hide how bad it actually tastes. Food: 1/5.

It's just a walk up spot so there's really no atmosphere except to say that it's always clean! I can't recommend enough the braised lamb sammich with chipotle hummus! ?? The picture doesn't do it justice and I would've taken a better one, but was so hungry I had to take a bite first!Food: 5/5

I really enjoy visiting this restaurant. We drive 8 hours to reach this location. I appreciate Alba and the staff; both she and P are wonderfully friendly. I always have great conversations with them. They consistently fulfill my requests and remember my preferences for future visits. As for parking, it's manageable as long as you're able to find a spot. Luckily, I always have someone with me to stay in the car.

The staff was very rude to customers. I was uncomfortable with their way of asking and serving. There were also hygiene concerns, and the chicken didn't taste fresh. One of the employees seemed more focused on making money than providing good service; when we requested jalapeños, they informed us that it would cost extra. Overall, it was a terrible experience. Food rating: 1/5.

You’re better off spending your $16 around the corner at chipotle.One of the women that works there doesn’t know how to make a platter and has the audacity to tell you extra meat cost extra.I had to pull out a ton of rice.
