Nice place to stop, but probably other better places around. The service was very friendly and the food was good, but not great.I almost ordered the Ruben Benedict, but was glad I didn't. My friend ordered it and I think both are best in their original form...he enjoyed it though.I had the breakfast sandwiches with brussel sprouts. The brussel sprouts were yummy, but it was a lot of the crunchy outer leaves. The sandwich was decent.Coffee was expensive.
I ordered their salad and it was supposed to come with vinegarette and a poached egg on top. They gave me a piping hot boiled egg and NO vinegar flavor from my “vinegarette” So I ended up with a wilted salad with soggy croutons that I didn't even get half of the way through before I paid and left. $60 for two people to eat brunch btw… no apologies from the staff or even a mention of the plate full even though my partner had a box to go. I wouldn't recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quiet neighborhood spot.
The staff puts no effort into customer service or making folks feel the least bit welcome. The lady with braided dark hair leads the team in apathy and disrespect.I’ve really wanted to live this spot but each visit I’m left disappointed. My first visit my friend and I’ve felt someone welcome and asked ourselves does this lady not like persons of color or something? Why was she so rude?Second visit great because she wasn’t there till the end then I saw she’s just unkind. I thought her to be the owner.Today, third visit my sister was told the restaurant is far too busy to answer any of her allergy questions.I suppose thé place is busy enough to have to be the slightest bit kind or respectful.. We won’t give it another try.Dietary restrictions: Will not accommodate food allergies or restrictions
Do not eat here if you have any food allergies or specific diet needs. I called 3 times to ask about their menu, as their menu does not have gluten free denotations. I was hung up on twice by a female employee. A male employee couldn’t tell me specifically which sandwiches were gluten free, and he told me that he didn’t have time to clarify. Absolutely abhorrent customer service and lack of care. It’s not worth risking your health.
