We had good food and beer. Nice place. Price is fair. We had poutins, fish and chips and burgers. Inside is old-fashioned
We found the food too low quality, but that can be because we don't get the smoked meat. We have chicken fillets (which were like chicken fingers) and a pizza. The bill came to $65 with drinks. We wouldn't visit again, but maybe because we missed the smoked meat?
Well, what a surprise when I thought I had a nice steak in my sandwich and that the hot pepper would be hot pepper.... actually the beef was really weird cut, the hot pepper were pimples, still interesting to try BUT it is...not a sandwich I often would have The salad of my wife seemed very tastier
I had read about Joe 's on trip advisor. My husband loves smoked meat so I wanted to try it when we were in the area. When we got there we saw an empty parking lot and the place looked closed but my husband tried the...door and it was open. An open sign in the wndow or better lighting could bring in more customers as the place was deserted. Now it was 1:30 p.m. so they could have just finished the noon rush. Another group came in right after us as well. Maybe because our car was in the lot. No English spoken here although our server did try. No English menu either. But our French was enough to pick out that there were smoked meat 'just about everything '. sandwiches, salads, spaghetti, pizza, etc. We had a smoked meat sandwich with fries, coleslaw and a pickle. I have never cared for Montreal-style smoked meat and had hoped there would be another choice but there wasn 't. I thought maybe smoked brisket? Nope. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his lunch and I didn 't dislike it but can 't say I 'd have it again. But that was me, not the food.
