I just had the pork tacos at the Chilliwack fair, and they did not disappoint! As a cook, I've been eager to try this food truck, and I'm so glad I finally did. It was definitely worth the wait. I highly recommend it—10/10!
I had the worst taco experience ever. The al pastor meat was mushy and way too salty. The cheese tasted incredibly sour, and there were hardly any onions or cilantro. Plus, there was no salsa verde—only pico de gallo. It seems like the owner needs to do some research on what authentic tacos really are, because nothing here tasted good or true to the tradition. It's no surprise that this place is never busy, while Hugo's is always packed.
Absolutely delicious! The nachos and fries were fantastic! They weren't greasy or heavy at all. I think adding guacamole and/or sour cream to the fries would have made them even better. As for the nachos, they could have used a bit more cheese and melty goodness. However, I really enjoyed the nacho chips; they were unique! Large, crispy, and bursting with a distinct flavor that set them apart from any other nacho chip I've ever had.
Without a doubt, these are the best tacos I've ever tasted, and I live in Texas, where we indulge in Mexican food at least a couple of times a week. I ordered the carne asada tacos, which I would rate a perfect 10/10. The loaded Mexican fries were fantastic as well, getting a solid 9.5/10. While the fries were delicious, I personally would have liked a bit more sauce and toppings.
