Ottimo Centro - Chippendale

Very friendly staff with awesome service. Too bad that we don't have enough people to share a metre pizza. But the traditional size pizzas are great as well. I totally love it and would definitely come back again.

My family and I had dinner at Ottimo on a Saturday night. The food was mostly average. The gnocchi was far too mushy, it felt like eating runny mashed potato. And a veal main dish we got was over cooked and tough. On the other hand their herb bread and pizzas were good! Thin and crispy crusts with fresh toppings. On a side note, the waitress chose to stand/hover very close to our table during her spare time, which made it a little unnerving while we ate. But it did make for great service even if it felt like we were being watched.

Great restaurant for authentic and aromatic Italian food. Located behind Central Park, it's peaceful and casual ambience creates a wonderful atmosphere for group catchups. I really enjoyed their pizzas, in particular, the pizza gamberoni, but the tagliolini allo scoglio was definitely a highlight. ningjaeats.tumblr.com
