Tontory's Japanese Teriyaki Cuisine

I used to come here a lot in 2017/2018. The food is delicious, cheap and the owners/workers are lovely and had an extremely cute kid who would bounce around and keep you well entertained while you ate. I need to come back asap. I hope its still the same people here and that theyre doinģ well Also there were lots of amazing vegan options

Amazing food! Highly recommend getting any of the Okonomiyaki, they’re perfect and definitely something I had never had before. The guy here is honestly the sweetest too and the prices are amazing for Wellington. 10/10 everyone go eat there!

One of the best Japanese I've had outside of Japan, especially the Takoyaki and Okonomiyaki. We were passing through Wellington for a night and we had it for dinner and came back for lunch the next day. There is a small table and for two to eat there and a couple small barstool seats for waiting or eating.

Came across this little gem during a one night stay in Wellington. The food was fantastic best Japanese I’ve eaten outside of Japan, at very reasonable prices with great customer service. Highly recommend the okonomiyaki and takoyaki (octopus balls don’t knock it until you try it), it was so good we came back for an early lunch the next day before we had to leave town. The regular okonomiyaki is pictured (partly eaten), the large one barely fit on the plate!
