I particularly enjoyed their hummus and baba ghanoush, although they come with such a small portion of bread that you may have to order extra.
While strolling along Edgeware Road, we stumbled upon a hidden gem among the many Mediterranean restaurants. We tried the meze platter for one, two bowls of vegetable soup, and the Damascene salad and it was absolutely delicious! It's hard to put into words just how tasty it was. The portion sizes were generous and the prices were very reasonable. I now have high hopes of finding a Damascene cuisine restaurant in Seattle. This meal definitely won me over.
Unfortunately we sat towards the back of the restaurant. Although not the restaurants fault, a customer had used the toilet and the smell was horrific and we asked to be moved. I think the staff could have at least used air freshner or the restaurant needs better air ventilation. We had various starters and mains all of which was average but I would say the mixed grill was very good however the rice that comes with it is a very small porrion. With the stew type main dishes you get a whole bowlful. Rice was lovely but I think they put butter in it ; . The starters were not bought out together. The mains came with the last starter so this is why I 'm saying the waiters are unprofessional. Why couldn 't they wait till we finish the starters?
We went as a large group, having been unable to get a table at Beirut Express and had an excellent meal. The service staff were friendly and patient, the food was very good and reasonably priced. It's a shame this place is so quiet, the whole experience compared very favourably with the alternatives along Edgware Road.
We were looking for a Lebanese meal on our way back to the station, but instead, we were drawn to this restaurant across the road. The menu was intriguing and the prices were reasonable. The waiter was welcoming and seated us promptly. After some time, we finally decided on a variety of hot and cold starters and sandwiches, as we are a vegetarian family and appreciated the many options available (there were also plenty of choices for meat eaters). While we waited for our meal, we were served olives and carrots, which my son declared to be the best he had ever tasted. The food was outstanding, with generous portions and accompanied by flatbreads that were promptly replenished. The restaurant is cozy, with well-spaced seating so it doesn't feel cramped. For those who prefer, there is outdoor seating to enjoy people-watching on Edgware Road. We left the restaurant impressed by the friendly staff and left feeling satisfied and content. We would definitely love to come back and dine here again.
