The service and food were excellent, with a very friendly and accommodating waiter. I was pleased with the seating area. However, the downstairs toilets were a completely different story. I was appalled by how smelly, dirty, and moldy they were. The management team definitely needs to address this issue.
Have eaten at Pizza Express over the years and it always used to be a good value option. Unfortunately, doesn’t seem to be the case these days. Meal was ok although my daughters pizza seemed poorly prepared) but pricey for what we had. Service was adequate.
We received a warm and friendly welcome from Adam, who took excellent care of us during our visit. Despite the busy atmosphere, we were seated promptly and received top-notch service. The food was not only delicious but also served quickly and hot. Our waiter was both friendly and professional. We look forward to returning to see Adam and the rest of the team. A heartfelt thank you from Sarah, Hannah, and Sophie (from Wiltshire).
Pre theatre visit with LOADS of time in theory : table booking for 5:15pm and theatre start at 7pm just 5 minutes walk. The good first : lovely waiter with good, smiling people skills and our beers arrived quickly. My partner said his Margherita pizza was fine, the salad leaves with the two leggera pizzas were very fresh and, although it arrived a few minutes after the others, the gluten free pizza was hot. Now the bad : after waiting over 20 minutes (Pizza EXPRESS remember) the three pizzas that arrived first were almost cold when put in front of us, the leggeras were over cooked, the garlic bread was tough/cold and had no discernible butter content, and an after thought order for gluten free dough balls never arrived. Now the ugly : of the three ladies toilet cubicles in the basement, one toilet was blocked with a flooded floor and in the other two cubicles, overflowing sanitary bins absolutely stank! Choosing my battles, I reported the toilet situation to the manager who said he would request a cleaner visit immediately. The bill for 4 of us was £86 for 4 beers, 4 pizzas and one garlic bread. Good value? No. We made it to our theatre seats with just 5 minutes to spare.
After a late night at the theater that ended at 10pm, it was challenging to find a place to eat. We decided to go to Pizza Express, where Adam and his team graciously served us, despite it being near closing time.
