After the theatre, we decided to try out a curry restaurant we spotted. Upon entering, we were directed to our table by a waiter on the phone, and then a waiter who resembled 'Manuel' from Fawlty Towers took our order but got it wrong and was scolded by the owner before huffily leaving. The whole experience was bizarre. The food was average and the wine was pricey. There are better options nearby. Unfortunately, we were also bothered by a noisy group at a nearby table who dominated the conversation with their mundane stories.
Great Indian. Very relaxed and friendly service. Lots of choice, very tasty food. Waiters happy to give advice on the menu and best dishes. You can't ask for more when a group of friends want to have a relaxed, reasonably priced dinner.
They used have a very good, self service buffet lunch. The buffet now comes from the kitchen directly to the table and is very poor quality. I have been a customer here for many years but, after today, will not be returning. It has deteriorated beyond belief.
The manager and waiter were intoxicated and had difficulty speaking English. They were also speaking incoherently while smoking what appeared to be local tobacco, possibly getting high. The food was terrible, overpriced, and served in very small portions. The most disappointing part was that this Bangladeshi restaurant was falsely presenting itself as an Indian cuisine. It is best to avoid this place entirely.
