Thyme is very convenient and has a pretty varied menu. The food was ok, not great but ok and the staff who served us were really lovely. I wouldn't go out of my way to eat here but it served its purpose for us during our stay and we had no real complaints.
The food is mostly well cooked, although it seems to vary from day to day. I had a meal deal and eat here 4 times during my stay, which rather exhausted the menu as far as I was concerned. Things are quite meaty and I prefer more choices from a vegetarian point of view. It was convenient to eat here, but not my first choice.
I ate here because I was too tired to go elsewhere. The hotel offer a meal deal when you book but I declined as I normally eat away from a hotel. When I sat down they asked if I was on the meal deal and offered it again when they found I was not on it. This meant that most of the menu was available for a reasonable price. I paid a supplement and had a steak which was pretty good and a sticky toffee pudding which was very sweet. The restaurant was quite busy with families as it was half term but the service was still OK and the staff friendly although busy.
I don’t usually eat at hotel restaurants, but I was with friends and staying at the hotel and we were too tired to go searching for another place. In fact, we were so pleased with the quality of the food that we ate there again. There is plenty of choice on the menu, staff are attentive and friendly. A meal deal is available for breakfast and dinner, good value.
Booked an evening meal here. Staff were busy but helpful, food was good and reasonably priced, especially for London.
