Contribuisci feedbackBy Maria Derevianko So after a lucky escape from the rat race that is work last week, I now have the opportunity to use my time doing things that I really want to be doing such as travelling, eating lots of delicious vegan food, working on my gains and blogging about it all, your congratulations are welcome and apologies if you have been waiting for your vegan fix blog as I wasn't able to to write last week, but I'm back. And I am back to introduce you to this beauty, Vantra. I found out about Vantra a few months ago when I still hadn't made the transition to vegan but one of my healthy friends suggested that we meet there and I have been back time and time again First things is...read more
I visited eco-restaurant Vantra on Oxford Street at the weekend with my aunt (a vegetarian of 20+ years) to indulge in delicious veggie/vegan food, allowing us to eat lots of cake in the evening! The best thing about Vantra? It’s nut-free and has been since opening over 15 years ago. This unusual and inspired restaurant is ideally located at the Tottenham Court Road end of Oxford Street. Normally considered a hellish part of London, Vantra makes a relaxing and enjoyable break from the hordes of crowds outside. The restaurant has an incredible variety of options and the food was very satisfying. As a meat-eater, I was unsure about trying a vegan restaurant as many have disappointed me in the past, but this place was a pleasant surprise! The prices are very reasonable for the quality and location. I highly recommend the buffet option.
Okay, so I must admit, I have passed Vantra several times on Oxford Street. I have always been intrigued by the signs advertising their extremely healthy options, but I never had the courage to go in. As a non-vegetarian, I was hesitant at first. However, I soon discovered that their offerings were not only healthy but also delicious!
This vegan restaurant on Oxford Street is the ultimate hangout for vegans. The atmosphere exudes a laid-back, hippy vibe with a buffet served in large round silver bowls filled with dreamy vegan dishes. The dark room is filled with heavy wooden chairs and candles, creating a cozy ambiance. The menu offers a variety of amazing drinks, as well as delicious and healthy dishes for those who prefer not to eat from the buffet. The desserts are some of the best I've ever had, fresh, tasty, and authentic. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and the prices are very reasonable. Vegans will definitely enjoy this place.
