Tasty tasty tasty. Beautiful sushi and nigiri selection with miso included good value and a really flavoursome soy and sesame sauce to accompany. Pity i had to wolf it down to avoid airport hassle were wahey too late for comfort . A favourite spot to grab a bit before getting a bus to fly out.
The avocado shortage in New Zealand in 2005 caused sushi prices to soar, making headlines. This event reflected two things about New Zealand: firstly, our tendency to focus on first world problems, and secondly, the popularity of sushi, particularly salmon and avocado sushi, as a local staple. London is now embracing sushi, with chains like Itsu and Wasabi bringing it to the masses. I was excited to review the selections at Youmesushi when they reached out to me.
