Got buy one get one beers all night. There's a variety of flavors too. The ladies got one that tastes like apple, which was not bad. I can't remember which one I drank, but it did trick! Beers were averaged about P80-120. Would definitely do this happy hour again
Work can sometimes really take a toll on an employee and sometimes, one would just need to take a breather from it all. Deep in the urban jungle of CBD Makati is Plantation. I am in love with its interiors: clean and simple. The ambiance is vibrant and welcoming with a hint of fancy. I am also in love with their dishes as this humble place serves quality food without burning a big hole in your pocket. The drinks here are also reasonably priced, so a conversation over beer or wine can go on for hours on end without spelling the end of your paycheck. It gets a bit crowded when middle of the week starts especially because of their happy hour offerings and awesome tunes. This is one place I get to grab beer and just chill. The dinner service is fast and staff are very approachable and knowledgable about the menu. Always a good breather when I visit this place with friends.
I would go to Plantation for my mid-working day drink because it was all of 5 minutes away from my desk, down the elevator of my office building, and through C Palanca street. Don't judge, we need a little rhum and Coke for lunch every once in a while... Right? Besides, Plantation has wifi so I could still work. It's not my favorite place to dine, though. I once had a Caesar's salad that was served with honey mustard dressing. Um, you can buy ready-to-serve Caesar's salad dressing these days and that would have been better than serving me a leafy honey mustard salad. Their pastas are hefty and okay, so if you find yourself needing to eat while you're there, just go for the grilled chicken pesto or chicken parmigiana!
Free wifi and lots of plugs for those who need to catch up on their studies/work. Just avoid the busy hours. They have happy hours on Sundays! 3-9pm buy1take1 on beers. Just for today's visit...the food is not fresh and they taste different from before.
If you happen to work in the Ayala area specifically around Legaspi and Salcedo village, it's almost close to automatic that there comes a night after work that you and your officemates felt the urge to grab some grub and down a couple of beers. There is quite an abundance of after office dinner and drinks places around both Salcedo Village and Legaspi Village, one of which is called The Plantation. Located in C. Palanca St. in Legaspi Village, The Plantation is a restaurant/lounge place where you can get both good food and good drinks with your officemates and friends. The place is pretty spacious, it can accommodate around 80 100 people, aircon is available though it also has a couple of tables for smokers outside. It also has around 3 screens that are perfect if you want to watch sports events with your friends. We've actually gone here one Sunday afternoon to catch an ADMU DLSU game. They offer a pretty wide selection in their menu with some of my favorites like Spareribs, Burger Steaks, Herb Crusted Dory, Chicken Parmigiana (one of their best sellers) present! They also offer Filipino dishes like Adobo Flakes, Kare Kare and Crispy Pata, which I presume most beer drinkers tend to order. Mostly they offer comfort foods for their main dishes and they also have pica pica selections for those who want to partner their food with some ice cold beer. Serving size at The Plantation is pretty generous, with 1 order good for 2 people. I almost always never get to finish my dish so I tend to share with someone when I'm here. Price range is between 200 300 pesos per meal, which is pretty okay considering the quality and quantity of each meal. Their bar list is also pretty impressive with a wide range of hard liquor and beers on tap. Do visit their Happy Hour, which is between 4pm 9pm (buy 1 take 1 on beers). Some nights, they also have DJ sets and acoustic performers!
