This classic Italian take-out spot features a handwritten menu filled with delicious breakfast and lunch sandwiches, along with a showcase of cold treats, pasta salads, and rotisserie chicken. You'll hit the jackpot with anything that includes fluffy eggs, garlicky broccolini, or flavorful eggplant caponata, while the meatloaf and meatballs are also standout options. Each sandwich is served on a long, soft sesame roll with just the right amount of crunch. There’s no indoor seating, but you can enjoy your meal on a bench outside or take a short walk to the nearby park.

It's clear that someone here has a true passion for food. Each dish is bursting with complex flavors. I tried the smoked trout hero (which you don’t typically find in a NY deli) and it was fantastic. I've also had the chicken and chicken salad, and both were excellent.

I had the green eggs and ham, which consisted of pesto mixed into egg whites with cheese and prosciutto. It was absolutely delicious! The bread was flaky, and it had just the right amount of oil. The coffee was also outstanding, which was a pleasant surprise. I'm now a fan of this place!

Every once in a while we will treat ourselves for a walk down the street to grab some generously stuffed breakfast sandwiches. So many choices in that handwritten menu, but guanciale is a favorite. May as well pick up some of the tasty bits from the prepared food case meatballs, cauliflower, or swing back for the roast chicken.

After a long awaited trip to New York to eat one of my favorite sandwiches, I was a bit underwhelmed by this experience. The sauce was a bit on the sweeter side in the chicken parm sandwich takes away from the sandwich (agreeing with one of the other reviewers). I also got a mediocre croissant, which I didn?t eat more than a bite.
