Mitchell's Soul Food - City of New York

It’s a lovely place. The food was great, the workers were friendly and the place had a nice home like feeling.

I’m from Mississippi and had to try this place out. The collard greens were ON POINT! Would definitely go back but next time I want to try the fried chicken instead of the catfish. Also, they are CASH ONLYYYYY!! I wish they put a sign on the entrance because I completely missed the sign that was behind the register since I was deep in the menu. :

The collard greens were great but everything else was subpar, especially the meatloaf, which might've been the worst I've ever had.

The food reminds me of what Grandma used to make! The service is pleasant, quiet, and quick.

Loved everything. Will be back. This place rocks. Iconic Classic that lived up to its status.
