Olive ap was good, but too many olives (never thought I'd say that) and not enough peppers and feta (try French feta) and a thinner longer sour dough or French bread slightly toasted would be great instead of more of the table bread. If a chicken is roasted, then don't put on barbecue sauce unless you are finishing on the grill. Too many potatoes on a plate! Never thought I'd say that. Mozz ap was perfect. But again, waitress was so nice and on top of it.
Went for an early Father's Day dinner on a recommendation from a friend. Beautiful interior; spacious, airy and tastefully decorated. We had the burgers and chicken sandwiches and they were delicious! Will definitely come again.
The food was outstanding. My wife had the Greek pasta, said it was the best she ever had. (And she's Italian! I had the beef short ribs. Wonderful! We received a free dessert, because we ordered 2 meals. The coconut cake was delicious. Service was excellent and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. We will be back.
With the typical SU school year being over people in or visiting Syracuse should consider this excellent restaurant as one of their summer go-to's. We had the broiled haddock special with its rice and spinach and it was excellent. Their garlic butter also is notable since it doesn't have that weird flavor that many restaurants do. The bread was good but not hot. Also, parking nearby is usually free after 6 pm making dinner a good choice. We have never had a bad meal there. We enjoyed many lunches several times this past winter when dealing with treatments at the hospital. We will probably take advantage of their summer haddock special on Fridays now.
I love the upstairs dining room. Our server was great, personable and efficient. The Phoebe's salad is delicious. I had the salmon which was mediocre. My husband had the hanger steak. He liked the flavor but not the chewiness.
