Claremont Cafe Pool Room

I have been going to Claremont Cafe since I was 5 years old. I have fond memories of their baked and fried pork chops, steak sandwiches, brittle wine with salad and tomato. However, the highlight for me has always been their cheeseburgers - they were delicious in 1956 and remain delicious today. My family and I have been traveling from Stateville since 1963 to dine here, and we will continue to make the trip every week. I have seen three generations of family members at the cafe and I hope everyone enjoys their visit as much as I have over the years.

I grew up eating Claremont Cafe food as a child and I still love their food.

I have been going to Claremont Cafe since I was five years old. I have fond memories of their breaded and fried pork chop and steak sandwiches, as well as the roast pork with lettuce and tomato. However, the ultimate favorite is their cheeseburger with slaw, chili, and onions. These dishes were delicious in 1956 and still are today in 2019. My family has been making the trip from Statesville for 63 years, and now that I am retired, we will continue to visit every week. I have seen three generations of family members at the cafe, and I hope everyone enjoys their visit as much as I have over the years.
