L'hermitage Restaurant - Claremont

This restaurant review is a PMI format, with points for plus, minus, and interesting aspects. Plus: The food was delicious and the wait staff was friendly, providing good service. Interesting: The peppercorn sauce with the steak lacked peppercorn flavor, tasting more like a red wine sauce.

We were looking to grab a quick pizza at the neighboring Allegro, but were informed that it was fully booked. This restaurant appeared to be in the same location and operated by the same owners, but the pizzas were smaller and more expensive. It had a French atmosphere, but mainly served Italian cuisine. The restaurant was very crowded and the staff seemed overwhelmed, leading to slow and inconsistent service. The pizza was delicious and they were accommodating towards children. Overall, it was a bit confusing, but worth trying out to experience a local spot.

We absolutely loved the Italian/French themed restaurant. The steak lover pizza was beautifully delicate, and the house-made fettuccine puttanesca pasta was deliciously rich. We will definitely be returning.

Make sure they have food intolerances in this restaurant. I ordered an salat minus red (as there are very bad headaches). my salat came with the equivalent of at least half a red bevel chopped and scattered over the salat. the waitress has...the offer to change it, but at that time I had chosen most of it to keep it. later, to dessert, I ordered a big hit. that came, but it was a milkshake. I sent this back. my man ordered a soybean monkey as he is lactose intolerance. that would have been catastrophic if it were wrong. Except the mix, it was okay to eat, but it was very expensive for what it was. the toilets were very dirty and beware of the steps that are very difficult to see in which women lead.

We feasted on 9 excellent homemade pasta pizzas! The desserts Australian wine !! A delight
