Platform One Coffee Lounge - Claremont

Yesterday, on 27/08/22, two of us ordered bacon and eggs with tomatoes. This was the second time in two weeks that we ordered without tomatoes. We complained to the server, who said they had run out of tomatoes but would talk to the chef. They mentioned that they were training new employees. However, nothing was done, so I spoke to the chef who informed me that they couldn't afford tomatoes as their wholesaler had raised prices. I suggested they change the menu or increase prices to cover the cost. When my friend ordered a flat white coffee, they received a cappuccino instead, covered in chocolate and served with the cup handle broken. Overall, the experience was not good, and we will be dining elsewhere in the future. There are plenty of other options in Claremont Village. I have had reasons to complain before, such as when my steak was overcooked to the point of being inedible.

We are in Western Australia and Mel was so accommodating when we ordered meals for an older family member who loves to dine out. The restaurant reminded me of Tasmania and the distance between us felt like next door.

I had planned on taking an older friend out to dinner tonight, but quickly changed my mind after encountering a dark-haired female coworker at this restaurant. She was smoking in a clearly designated non-smoking area, and when I asked her about it, she rudely dismissed me. Her disrespectful and selfish behavior was enough to make me take my business elsewhere. This was a very poor first impression of this cafe. Why should I spend my money in a place that employs such thoughtless staff? I would much rather give my business to a place with friendly employees.

Faster service. good choice of main dishes cooked to order. delivered on their table with a friendly chat. no eftpos sad.

My hubby and I quite often have a coffee and lunch here as it is right outside our doctor's. Have always enjoyed our toasted sandwiches, quiche, salad rolls, etc plus they serve a good variety of cakes and desserts. They make a mean iced coffee!
