Wonderful food, friendly staff. Its a cash place and I didn 't know this at first. But Julia 's is on my 'must visit ' recommendations list for Columbia. I lived in Germany for 8 years. The food is first rate. Sad that Julia has passed. She held all my grandchildren when they were born. Her family has kept a great tradition and even made it better.
Despite being super early to get in first, many other groups were eating entrees before our server even took our appetizer orders. Pretty frustrating. Everyone liked the Schnitzel, but the sausage I ordered was ice cold in the center. They replaced it, but didn't seem bothered or sorry about it. Overall disappointing experience and poor service for the price, and we won't be coming back.
We came for dinner and loved it. All of the food tasted homemade, and it brought back memories of an old trip to Germany. They sell numerous varieties of schnitzel, along with other traditional German and Bavarian dishes. They also have a wide variety of German beers on tap. The service was great and our waitress provided excellent recommendations. The portions were quite generous and we ended up with leftovers. The German potato salad was my favorite and even ordered some to take home.
Second time going to Julia’s within six months. First time was OK and the second time not good. The food was subpar for the price. The sides tasted like they came out of a jar and the sauces tasted weak and old. They advertise that they take credit cards now but you get changed the fee. I have lived in Germany for years so I know what good German food is, this is not it. We will not be going back.
