Wonderful corned beef and cabbage. The beer cheese soup is rich but flavored well.

I showed up to the bar for the opening World Cup match and it was a brunch nightmare. The bar line has some type of dumb icicle lights for x-mas decoration, but they block the television's view. Stupid move by the manager! The TV's were not working on that particular side. Apparently they have two different cable/satellite systems in the joint. Madra Rua was one of my old favorite places. Gave it 5 stars before. The Brunch was the best in town. The Irish stew was amazing… the list could go on. The menu has been steadily shrinking over the years. There is very little to choose from any more and what is left of the menu isn't executed as well as it once was. This is a great place to catch up with friends or eat with your family. The very helpful and friendly staff keep your cup full while the food comes fast, fresh and hot. I always go for the wings and they are always so good

Had dinner here last night, I ordered the prime rib of beef sandwich, very disappointing. The meat was dry and gristley and looked as though it had been cooked for awhile. The waiter was superb, he was knowledgeable about the menu and very polite and checked on us several times
