Mex 1 Coastal Cantina

The food at this Mex 1 is consistently excellent. As we know, that’s just one component that makes for a great restaurant. It’s the staff that can make or break a place as well. Mex 1 has an asset with Jara (sp), she works behind the bar and in a word is awesome. Accommodating, cordial and a spot on personality for the position. Mex 1 should be proud that Jara is working with them rather than another place. It’s assets like her that will take any place from good to great.

We have loved this restaurant but today we went for lunch and we’re surprised it was not busy. The bartender was OK but not like anyone we remembered. The place was about empty. Food was still great but, prices have gone up too much. Our margaritas were $25 EACH. That’s nuts. The food was also way expensive compared to before and for two people at lunch it was over $100. Crazy. We won’t be back.

Caught the bartender here trying to break into my car and when I notified management they became hostile towards me. This place is ran by clowns, eat elsewhere
