The Root Cellar B-l - Clarendon County

Great experience. Not much is open during the week in this area so we decided to try it. All the food was delicious (although the grits had little flavor- i recommend adding more of the gravy to it) highly recommend the fried green tomatoes! Service was good as well.

I’ve only eaten here a few times, but this restaurant never disappoints. The food is always on point! The workers are also really nice I enjoyed the decor. Honestly it’s one the better places in batesburg if you don’t want fast food or a drive to Lexington. I got the chicken, Swiss avocado Sandwich with a loaded baked potato a side Caesar salad, it filled me up good but didn’t overstuff me which I really liked.

This is the most fine dining experience you will find in Batesburg-Leesville. I really liked my hot honey fried chicken sandwich. Need to work on their collard greens tho. Thank you!

On our first visit it was not too busy, service was great, oyster meal and fish chips were great. Second trip, (again not too busy)medium rare steak came out well done, service was good. The last visit very busy and super loud. Waited at the door for a while before anyone spoke to us. After we were seated our waitress took drink order from my sweetheart and did not ask me, brought me the same. People were getting cooked appetizers who came after us before I got my salad.
