They offer an excellent selection of burgers, along with a variety of delicious toppings like grilled onions and peppers. I had the grilled burger, which was cooked to perfection with a delightful char. Our total for two meals came to around $25. This is such a unique spot in Clayton—lunch here is definitely a must!
We were a group of two couples and had requested a single bill for our meal. Our orders were quite simple: hamburger baskets, one with fries, one with onion rings, and one burger cooked well done. However, when our order arrived, it was under the wrong name, which caused some confusion. Additionally, there was no indication of which burger was the well-done one, and the cook's demeanor was borderline rude. To make matters worse, the buns, fries, and onion rings were all cold. And as a side note, an "onion ring" should be round, but what we got were just bits and pieces that looked like they came straight from a frozen food bag. To top it off, the price was an outrageous $13.50 per meal! On a positive note, the restaurant was clean and had some nice nostalgic decor, but I certainly wouldn’t return.
We had an amazing experience at this restaurant! As visitors from out of town, we were recommended to try this place. Even though we arrived just as they were about to close, the staff kindly accommodated our group of ten, which included a Boy Scout troop from Florida. The food was delicious, with generous portion sizes, and the atmosphere was warm and inviting thanks to the friendly staff. I can confidently say it was one of the best burgers I've had in quite a while! Just a heads up: keep an eye out for little ones asking for quarters at the arcade. I highly recommend this place!
We were expecting this place to be really cool based on the reviews and pictures. They were cash only and said they have been waiting for a while for a replacement. The menu wasn?t anything great so we didn?t try food. The little arcade took our money. It seemed like they were having issues the day we walked in, so I didn?t want to knock them too hard. We would like to try the place again next time we come through town and hope it?s better.
This place is amazing! We had my mother?s 80th birthday party here and had them cater it. The food and service was amazing. Almost everyone went back for seconds and there was nothing we needed that they hadn?t already thought of and had ready for us. I highly recommend this place, even if you just want to step back in time for a root beer float, milkshake or ice cream.
