The Prickly Pear - Cleburne

Great service and the owner checks on every table. Fried mushrooms are like chips... very good! The chicken fried steak is above average, but not great. if ordered the mac n cheese is good, okra is good the mashed taters are good. The best is not even on the menu, the chili. Ask him because it is not always available. The Jalapeno Cornbread is really good and sweet. Hot and buttery yeast rolls are also excellent.

The food was excellent. atmosphere cozy and clean. Great service from the staff. New favorite place to eat.

We went here on the basis of high reviews and were not disappointed! Great food, great service and frendily people! Chicken Fried Steak and potatoes mashed reminded me of Western Cafe' in Cloudcroft NM and Homplate Diner in Lubbock. Do yourself a favor and stop in...soon!

Very tasty comfort food in a casual setting. Beyond friendly staff. I had The Works and fried pickles...at least 3 meals worth of food...
