Lighthouse Bbq - Clemson

We had an excellent meal for a birthday celebration. Zoe took great care of us from start to finish and paid special attention to the 84-year-old birthday girl. All of our food was delicious, including fried green tomatoes, stuffed flounder, penne Alfredo with chicken, fried shrimp and the crème brûlée birthday surprise. The best collard greens ever! We have never had a bad meal at the Lighthouse and will be back soon!

Good food. They were out of several items on the menu. Server was awesome.

Traveling through the area on a sightseeing trip. Noticed the restaurant was right on the lake so we gave it a try. First off, the view from the place is magnificent. It looks like you can pull your boat up to a slip and eat there. We were driving but the parking lot was great! We arrived at around 1:15, right in the nick of time because they close at 2:00 , I guess for the switch over. Seated immediately and the server came over and took our orders. We started with the crab bisque. Now this is risky since we are from the Norfolk area and getting good crab out this far I thought was a stretch. Wrong! If it wasn’t the best, its in the running for the best I’ve ever had! Filled with crab meat and creamy! We also had General Tso chicken wings, French Dip and speciality salad with salmon. Everything was superb! Food, service, location, and price were hard to beat! It looks like they have a little Tiki Bar type please right on the water if you just want drinks. Hats off to a really great place!

So many great things to try at this sophisticated dining spot on Lake Keowee. The NC Mountain Trout with Alabama white bbq sauce is amazing—almost as much as the best collard greens I’ve ever tried. If your meal comes with two sides, have the cheddar grits, too.

We arrived 5 minutes after they closing time for lunch; they didn't hesitate to accommodate us. The waiter was attentive and fun. The Flounder Sandwich was huge and delicious. My spouse had the Tuna Club, also very good. Thanks Lighthouse
