I went for lunch with my partner yesterday, and it was fantastic. The woman who welcomed us when we entered and served our food was incredibly pleasant. I found the prices to be quite reasonable, and the food was AMAZING. He ordered teriyaki chicken, while I had hibachi shrimp and scallops; both dishes were served on a bed of fried rice, with sweet carrots and grilled broccoli on the side. I was pleasantly surprised by how sweet the carrots were, and they were delicious! The broccoli was perfectly grilled and charred, which is my favorite way to enjoy it. She also provided us with a generous bottle of the orangey-pink shrimp sauce and another bottle of teriyaki sauce in case we wanted extra. Plus, they have cake! Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely be back.
The staff was friendly and efficient, and the restaurant was clean, but overall, my experience was not very pleasant. I ordered the teriyaki chicken, which was listed as $7.50 online, but my bill came to $11.43. My biggest issue, however, was the lack of flavor. The chicken was incredibly bland, and the rice had no taste whatsoever. It felt like a typical suburban dad named Kevin had prepared the meal. I had to smother the entire plate in white sauce just to make it edible.
The food, as always, is delicious, and the staff is incredibly friendly. What I really appreciated tonight is that I arrived just half an hour before closing. There was no eye-rolling or sighing. Thank you for making a tough day feel a little brighter!
I would never return to this restaurant. While the service was decent and the staff were friendly, the food left much to be desired. It was bland, mushy, and lacked texture. The fried rice was merely rice with a couple of pieces of corn and peas thrown in. The sushi was poorly rolled and clearly not made by a skilled sushi chef. The rice was mushy, the fish tasted old, and the roll had almost no flavor. I found myself using an excessive amount of duck sauce, which was also quite bland. The dishes were in desperate need of salt.
