Wonderful food, wonderful owner and chef. There menu is simple and the desserts are delicious. They also have a little market and a dining section.
Good affordable Caribbean food! I enjoyed the jerk chicken with rice and peas but I found the cabbage veggie mix just ok because I prefer a side salad to be raw/less cooked. Really appreciated that the worker asked what pieces of jerk chicken I wanted (leg vs breast white vs dark meat). While the jerk chicken was cooked well I'd also prefer it to be more seasoned. The oxtail was good. I also tried the veggie patty but was not a fan of the filling mix, the pastry was made with whole wheat (which I liked conceptually) but I didn't like the texture of it being more soft than flaky. I highly recommend the coconut water they sell fresh and preservative free with no added sugars! I will definitely return for more jerk chicken meals and coconut water
I'm convinced the workers may take home the best pieces of food because they are sure not giving it to the customers. I bought a large Brown stew chicken and all the lady gave me was little pieces of legs. There was some nice pieces right there in front of her but she chose to dig in the gravy and continuously gave me these little pieces of chicken. That's not right. I bought a large for goodness sake. I don't know what else I need to do to get good decent plate of food from the place. The other day I bought a lunch special and I got the same little pieces of chicken. So I said I'm going to buy a large and the same thing happened. They need to stop being stingy with the food. Because the prices that they charge are not stingy at all it is actually more expensive than a lot of other places. If a person buys a large or any other size stop watching the food. Give them a good plate food with good pieces and stop trying to take it home for yourself.
Everytime I’m in Clermont, I have to stop by and get some of the best Jamaican food ever…. They always out of Mac and cheese but everything else is always on point 5 for me
