La Fortaleza - Clifton

First time here, glad I came. The atmosphere is nostalgic, as least it is for any millennial who grew up watching Telemundo or Univision. The restaurant has floor to ceiling murals, at least a dozen portraits of Frida Kahlo, and even more portraits cut outs of Chespirito. The menu was limited but the food was good. I got the chicken chimichangas, good flavor and portion size.

I was in the mood for Mexican and ordered from this restaurant. I called in my order of the fish tacos on flour tortillas. When I arrived I parked in their private lot. I walked in and the lady took my payment and gave me my food. When I dug in the tacos were good. It definitely filled me up. I had a good experience.

One of the best Cocktails offered and you can choose and customize it too. Great lively ambience. One of the best Mexican Vegetarian tried in so long. They add veggies whole heartedly which is very rare to find. The staff is super courteous and very detailed. Thank you for making our Supermoms dinner night out memorable. We tried Nachos, Fajitas, Enchiladas and Tacos VEGETARIAN. Our favorites were Nachos and Enchiladas!

LA Fortaleza was a pleasant surprise! We stumbled on this place driving by. Authentic Mexican cuisine. We had the nachos for an appetizer, I had the chicken and shrimp fajits. My girlfriend had the salmon and vegetables. Excellent food. We had several Grande margaritas. The atmosphere was great, the music was great as well. Service was excellent! Prices are reasonable. Give it a try! You won't be disappointed!

I came here on a date with my boyfriend and had a really nice time. The live music, margaritas, food and service was top-notch. They even make coconut margaritas, which I've learned can be sometimes very hard to find but my god, they're my absolute favorite! And the artwork in this place was so cool to look at and enjoy. As a side note, I wouldn't take someone here that you don't feel certain of. They go table to table selling roses, and offering photos for purchase, which is nice when you want to capture the moment but not ideal if you're not really into the person that you're with. I'm lucky that my boyfriend said yes to both ? I took one star off because I asked for no lettuce on my enchiladas but it came with lettuce anyway. One more thing: the enmoladas and guacamole were absolutely delicious!
