After another 10 minutes passed without any service, we decided to leave. There were only four people in the entire restaurant during our visit. As someone in customer service myself, I know the importance of a simple greeting. Word of mouth is crucial for a business in a small town, and this was the second disappointing experience I had at this restaurant.
The atmosphere and decor of this place is great. They’ve really nailed the roadhouse saloon look. They’ve only been open for weeks, so there’s probably a learning curve in the kitchen. The food was pretty mediocre. My steak was medium rare, but it wasn’t seared or seasoned, and it was cold. The bacon wrapped asparagus was really good. They also have a great beer selection
We were left waiting for over 15 minutes to be seated as two different hostesses walked past us without acknowledging us. Eventually, we seated ourselves but after waiting an additional 8 minutes with only four other customers in the restaurant, we decided to leave. As someone in customer service myself, I know the importance of a simple greeting in providing good customer service. Running a business in a small town relies heavily on word of mouth, and unfortunately, this was the second disappointing experience we had at this restaurant.
The ambiance and design of this restaurant are fantastic. They have completely captured the essence of a classic roadhouse saloon. Since they have only been open for 3 weeks, there may still be some adjustments needed in the kitchen. The food was average overall. My steak was cooked to a medium rare, but it lacked proper searing and seasoning, and was served cold. On the bright side, the bacon-wrapped asparagus was delicious. Additionally, they offer a wonderful variety of beers.
