Lorena's Mexican - Coal City

This place was much better when it was Los Charros. The service was not good. Our order was all wrong and the server didn't even try ro correct it when we informed him it was wrong. The food itself was very bland. The salsa tasted like V8. We will not be going back.

The atmosphere was favorable, the staff was attentive , and the portions were generous. However, the food could have been improved with more seasoning , the beans were very plain and the fajita pan was way too hot causing almost all of the vegetables to be burned. When we come back ,we hope improvements to the food have been made.

Food and service was very good!! Will definitely be going back. Chicken and mole was excellent!

Having read the glowing reviews, we decided to give them a try, since we were in the area, and live in the area too. It's pretty routine in our opinion, nothing special. Salsa is good, but last night's was a little salty. 3 nights a week, drinks are 1/2 off, as in the other nearby restaurant. If we are at Ace Hardware we may try it again for lunch, but not a special trip.

The door displays a "CLOSED" sign, and there's a notice about Pepsi equipment also posted on it. Inside, everything is stacked to one side. The restaurant is definitely closed.
