Would be one of the worst motels for worth staying in. room very old, only lukewarm water for shower no cutlery or teller for making toast chair to breakfast. for heating aircons requires definitive maintenance to maintain a reasonable heating.
I am not giving a rating based on a stay , my booking was dropped by a booking agency. The rating was for the manager's response in gaining me a room driving me to another venue, as they were fully booked .
Last night (8th July 2022) I had the misfortune of staying at Copper City Hotel. I 've stayed in many hotels/motels in my life and I can say with the utmost confidence, this is the worst place I 've ever encountered. The website photos are definitely not the room we received.Upon entering the room, it was clearly run down and smelt strongly of mold. Carpets were dirty and stained and the walls were filthyThe bathroom was revolting. The floors were dirty and sticky. Soap and scum build up on everything. There was no hot water. The two of us brave enough to use the shower, had cold ones. The door barely closed, you literally had to put a shoulder into it to close. The door was also damaged and had a hole down the bottom. The bathroom tap dripped constantly all night. There were power points that didn 't work and the ones that did had broken switches. The light coverings were all broken and shattered to some degree. One was actually held on the wall with sticky tape!! This is a big safety issue. The decor leaves a lot to be desired. Even that was dirty and or broken. The split system was filthy and smelt so bad. It was a cold night, so unfortunately we had to use it.The 2x single beds were apparently ok , but the double bed was horrid. It had a deep sag in the middle that meant the two people sleeping in it continually rolled into each other. 2 out of the 3 beds had dirty sheets. Luckily we 'd packed some blankets, so we were at least able to sleep on them. I 've never seen a hotel use brown sheets before. Considering white is usually used to enable bleaching to thoroughly clean them, clearly these sheets don 't get adequately sanitised. They charged $180 a night for this putrid excuse for a room. They should be ashamed.I would have loved to speak to someone in person, but the reception was not open on arrival or departure.I really wish I could give it minus stars.
Arrived before 7pm but was not offered the continental breakfast and told them we had 2 small dogs upon entering the room we found a rodent bait box under the bench to which our chihuahua would have easily got her nose into it I hate to think what would have happened if she found it had to block off area definitely not worth a $148 a night
