Dog Pheasant - Colchester

This pub is amazing, with a friendly and welcoming atmosphere. The service is fantastic and we would definitely come back again. The fish and chips were huge, more like whale and chips with their size, and incredibly fresh. We have never had such delicious fish and chips before. The chips were to die for, and the ambiance in the pub, both inside and in the fabulous garden, was relaxed, warm, and welcoming. We felt like locals while we were there. I had a great lunch today. The staff was very accommodating, even though we arrived a few minutes after the midday rush. I highly recommend the fries, they were delicious. My mother really loved the burger and mashed potatoes.

Beautiful place, very far and quiet. it was just something you need to drive or drive there. that was long. not much for drinks, but still good things. Eating is decent. the personal is friendly and nice. very warm feeling for the place admitted quite small, but has a pleasant charm to the place. would recommend to visit if they are looking for a quiet drink and something to eat.

A warm welcome through the beautiful staff. the garden is immaculate, with many well spaced tables. my sampi was accompanied by the best three times boiled chips I've ever had.

Took my mum here tonight for a meal. Lovely Pleasant helpful staff. Food was lovely if I had to make a criticism I had the lamb shank and would’ve rather had more veg less gravy but apart from that it was absolutely delicious with a lovely dessert really really enjoyable lovely relaxed atmosphere nice pleasant people around us. Thank you definitely will be back.
