Mehalah's At Oysters Ale - Colchester

Without a doubt, this place has an incredible atmosphere. The food and service were both outstanding—truly a hidden gem. We ordered the seafood plate, and it was amazing! We've tried seafood all over the country, and this was by far the best we've had. If we had stayed longer than just a few days, we would have eaten here every day. Thank you to everyone who works there; I give it a perfect 10/10. If you’re in the area, you must eat here or you'll miss out on something special!

I visited Mehalah's this afternoon, and it was such a wonderful hidden gem! The seafood dishes were absolutely fantastic, and I thoroughly enjoyed them with some local Mersea ale. I will definitely be returning. Thank you!

Wow! This must be one of the best places I’ve ever dined. The shellfish is absolutely exquisite, and the local wine and beer complement the meal perfectly.

I myself and five friends have just returned from our first, which many will be visiting for them. excellent eating, both hot and cold. good choice and good value for money. for our waitress she was super, super fun and wonderful customer service!

Amazing food and loved the ambience I would definitely return we have always loved the company shed but this was less busy with more of a menu to select from the oysters were the best I have ever eaten
