Myland Fisheries - Colchester

The only inconvenience is that they only accept cash, which may be a problem if the ATM at Co-op is not working. The restaurant is very busy on Friday evenings, but less busy on other nights. During quieter times, there may be a wait for cooked fish, but generally between 5-7pm is fine.

This local fish and chip shop is friendly with tasty fries and generous servings. It's clean, with excellent service and rarely has long lines. Highly recommend.

As a fan of unique burgers, I was delighted to discover that this restaurant not only serves them but also offers them at a reasonable price of £1.25 each. I ended up ordering two, along with a side of chips, as a convenient and tasty option for a quick meal before attending a game at the nearby JobServe Community Stadium (Colchester United).

Pretty sure recently changed hands. Chips almost inedible. Suspect cheap oil and not cooed long enough. Cod ok but oil again spoilt it. Never again
