Seaview Cafe - Colchester

Ordered 3 x cod and chips and one curry sauce. Staff were really nice but that’s the only positive. Cost £35 and it was really not great. Chips tasted like cheap frozen chips, not chip shop chips, and the cod was really dry. Even the curry sauce was a bit gross. Was left feeling very disappointed.

Great food, good prices, reasonable. Staff are friendly. Would highly recommend. Couldn't eat all the chips and they were a small portion and the cod was amazing.

What a pleasant experience. Friendly waitress and nice fish and chips. We are from out of town so unlikely to be back but have to say I cannot fault our experience. 5 stars.

Great fish and chips. Had takeaway yesterday late afternoon. Really busy 15 minute wait. Good freshly cooked, best chips I’ve had in a long time.

Had fish and chips here, fish was great but the chips were frozen which was dissapointing no one wants frozen cheap chips at the sea side would be a lot better fresh I hope they start doing it , also wait was quite long for takeaway all in all ok
