Swan Inn - Colchester

We have visited The Swan Inn on numerous occasions and have always found the food to be excellent and the staff are always amazing. On this occasion (New Years Day), the venue was very short staffed as a result of staff illness (Covid) however, this didn't impact on the general service and food quality. Terry and Steve went over and above to ensure that visitors were made welcome and food was presented in a timely manner. I cannot rate them highly enough.

This is a very popular place for us to come as a family. Today's visit was for the kids birthday meal. We ordered quickly with no queue at all which was nice. When the food came out there was a few items not to the order, but this was dealt with very quickly by the staff who were also very apologetic. Annalise and Lewis were really polite and helpful during our visit. We bought birthday cakes for afters and unfortunately we were not allowed the sparklers that we had. They had some spare in the kitchen and were kind enough to use them instead so the kids didn't miss out. Thank you very much for making this visit really nice and memorable.

This visit was perfect the food was great and very tasty the staff were very friendly and accommodating.

Another wonderful meal at The Swan, absolutely love the new manager, what a great guy! And the waiting staff are lovely as usual, nothing is ever too much. We had a really enjoyable Christmas evening with family made better by Terry and his team. Thank you again!
