The Shed Cafe - Colchester

Drove past and thought we give it a go. Well what more can I say but wow. This was the best breakfast we had ever had. Food was so tasty and cooked perfectly. The staff were lovely, friendly and accommodating. Great price too. We will be going there more often.

Spotted sign for The Shed while driving from Colchester with a friend. Absolutely fantastic place. We both had jacket potatoes, one with lovely chilli, one with such a generous portion of prawns in sauce both freshly prepared with unusual salad! Best ever !

My wife and I popped in for breakfast yesterday morning for the first time having recently moved to the area. We’re super lucky to have this walking distance from us. Good menu with plenty of options. Very clean and modern inside. Plenty of condiments neatly displayed, napkins, sugars and cutlery all there. We both had the All Day Breakfast and it was hard to fault. Sausages and bacon were delicious and cooked just right. Perfectly cooked egg and some delicious well-seasoned mushrooms. Service was impeccable and the team of young ladies in there were very warm and chatty, each one with a beautiful smile. Look forward to going back. Perfect place for a full English, a quick bite for lunch or tea/coffee and cake.

Very clean premises, staff are very polite, ingredients are all good quality and cooked well. For £8.95 you get a meal that will fill you up all day, the only gripe was it was very oily and greasy, plate was swimming in it, the hash browns, mushrooms and eggs needed to sit and drain for a min before being dished up on the plate. I would go there again but my wife would not.

Very pleasant service and a great breakfast Bap. Prices very reasonable. A good roadside stopover. 5 stars from me.
