The rooms were a bit worn, but the location was stunning. The breakfast was great, and the staff were excellent. Overall, I would rate the room 4/5, the service 5/5, and the location 5/5.
The restaurant features very private rooms, exceptional service, and a fantastic menu. The drinks were quite nice, and the food was excellent. Overall, I would rate the rooms 5/5, the service 5/5, and the location 5/5. Highlights of the hotel include its luxurious atmosphere, stunning views, and a romantic ambiance.
Staff were fabulous, facilities were great and it was easy to access everything and the views were to die for!!!Rooms: 5/5 Service: 5/5 Location: 5/5 …More
It was OK. Which, for $1,250 a night, wasn 't good enough for us. At that price, we were expecting absolute luxury but, from the outset, everything was just a little bit disappointing. Firstly, the lobby itself was shabby and dated more the sort of reception you 'd expect at a holiday camp. That, combined with extremely slow, bumbling service and the news that the room we 'd specifically requested and been told, on booking, had been secured (room 69), was not available, left us with an instant sense of 'meh '. The receptionist added salt to the wound by seeming irritated that we were raising this as an issue and that both rooms are exactly the same (we have it on good authority from the manager of a neighbouring hotel that 69 is by far the best room). The room itself was lovely but, quite obviously, in need of some TLC. Everything, from the deck, to the flooring looked extremely weather worn, scuffed and dirty and there were cobwebs along the ceiling. We discovered that one of the main lights in the room was broken when we informed reception, they told us someone would fix it 'first thing ', so ended up huddling around a lamp to attempt to play a board game. The light remained broken for the duration of our stay.It was still a nice room and the food from the restaurant was decent (we ordered room service for the duration, since the fine dining restaurant matched the lobby decor, so we weren 't convinced there would be anything 'fine ' about it), hence three stars. Not sure I 'd recommend staying here again, for the price we paid.
