Bole Ethiopian - College Park

The food and service was blessed. Was sat upon arrival without any issues nor wait. And the food arrived on appropriate timing. I ordered the veggie lovers and it was lovely!!! Everything was good the setting was nice. A nice and quiet place with good food, there is a bar as well for those who see fit. Fifi was my server and this is the second time I've seen her she's a hard worker and a well mannered server. Thank you for the love will return!!

Our first time at Bole. We met my second cousin who just was in town for 6 hour layover. He had never had Ethiopian so it was decided, and no better than to order Bole's Taste of Ethiopia, which was enough for the four of us. We had a couple of ginger beers for spice. Man I just love how filling inerja is and how you can roll all of the dishes into it. When we entered there was a strong scent of incense, which is common in traditional Ethiopian restaurants especially after coffee ceremonies. Host was super friendly.

Food, trash. Service, horrible. This is not authentic Ethiopian cuisine. I eat Ethiopian allll the time. Go to Decatur/memorial dr area if you want some good food.

This was a place I'd had on my list and never got to it. Finally a reason to celebrate try out a new place my friend's 50th! We went on a Thursday evening which wasn't busy so no reservation required. We were fortunate enough to get seated in the section where Ethiopian Coffee Ceremonies are done. So traditional with the wood stools and woven baskets! For dinner we went for The Taste of Bole sampler to experience everything and share. To drink we shared a bottle of honey wine that's made in house. My friends said it was sweet and like nothing they'd had before. The sampler includes a mix of their greatest hits Kitfo, Doro Wot, Shirro, Veggies, Beef Awaze Tibs and Lamb Tibs. Served with injera and salad. The flavors, spices, different textures and variety are a must have. The location is right of I85 and Virginia Ave. Drive past the chains and hotels to eat at Bole which is across the street from the cemetery. The bar is decorated so nicely, plenty of seating, private rooms and a wrap around outdoor patio. I'm excited to try the rest of their menu! I would have given them a 5 star review but the women's restroom was pretty horrible. A stall was overrun with toilet paper, another had no toilet paper and last one wouldn't refill the tank to flush. No more soap or paper towels so that was disappointing. A easy fix to service the toilets and this place is golden.

The overall experience with Bole Ethiopian, was by far subpar. I ordered via Uber Eats, but contacted the merchant letting them know I'd be looking to cancel the order. The experience with Uber Eats was another story for another day. However, the restaurant staff at Bole Ethiopian lied and marked my order as completed/customer picked up, but never made my order. My husband did visit the restaurant prior to them making the order, informing the owner that we no longer wished to wait for the order to be prepared as the wait time exceeded what was advertised on Uber Eats. They informed me, that in order to cancel my order I'd need to do it through Uber Eats. Not a problem. Uber provided a run around regarding cancellation. During the final conversation, they mentioned the restaurant marked the order as completed. Surely, the owner knew that marking the order as completed would void out any possibility of receiving the refund as it appeared to Uber that my order was picked up. The owner then tried to make the argument that she would contact Uber in order to ensure the order was paid for, and I encouraged her to do just that. However, she knew that it was paid for the order, because her staff marked the order as complete on their end which triggers the payment process for a pickup order. Did she ever call Uber? No. She did make the order and provided it to me in the end. Full priced meal, and still had to wait an extra 30-40 minutes for the meal to be prepared. Unfortunately, the experience was all around an inconvenience and how everything was handled is very much unappreciated. The acts of the Owner and her staff was by far unprofessional and sketchy as they tried to get over on someone by lying and saying that an order was completed that was not so they can receive payout
