Ashanti Coffee - Collingwood

First time in with some out of town family. Enjoyed a very good coffee. Nice place to catch up. Interesting they have their own plantation.

We enjoyed the atmosphere of the cafe. Coffee was good. They had an assortment of pastries/snacks, some made on premises (just ask) and what we ordered was tasty. Would visit again.

The owners of the Ashanti locations (Collingwood and Thornbury) are the owners of the coffee plantation in Zimbabwe from which all their beans derive. Truly wonderful coffee (and baked goods), cute atmosphere, and the really great feeling that you are supporting independent coffee growers...in Africa. (The owner has written a book about his coffee journey, called “My Cattle Look Thin”. If you read it, you end up wanting to buy even more coffee!

I enjoy dropping by to have a coffee and their curry egg salad sandwich. Friendly staff, a nice place to sit, read the paper or just chill.

This was my first visit to this delightful cafe. Enjoyed a wonderful latte that was robust and smooth. Staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
