In comparison, a café in Toronto served a delicious turkey and cheese sandwich with tomatoes, lettuce, and aioli dressing for only $10.25. The dessert options, such as cake and cookies, looked tempting but I didn't get a chance to try them.
This restaurant is incredibly vibrant and aesthetically pleasing! We tried the ham and cheese croissant as well as a almond croissant, and they were both absolutely delightful. There are so many other tempting options to choose from as well!
The bakery has beautiful pastries, but it seems that some of them may come from the freezer. I would not want to pay $3.50 for a cookie or brownie that was previously frozen. I can just take something out of my own freezer at home. The whole point of going to a bakery is to get fresh food, not something that was frozen. They should either sell their frozen items at a discounted price or clearly label them as coming from the freezer. When I discovered that my pastry was frozen, I tried to return it but the owner refused and did not see a problem with selling frozen baked goods. I will not be returning to this bakery. Customers should always ask what is fresh before purchasing. I understand that it might be hard to have a large selection of fresh baked goods, but I would prefer a smaller selection of fresh items over a larger selection of frozen items.
This cafe has a lovely atmosphere, reminiscent of a Parisian cafe. The food is fresh and well-presented, although a bit pricey - like the $13 croissant sandwich. The coffee is good and the croissants are even better when heated. I also tried the chocolate-free mahogany cake, which was delicious. They also offer full-sized fantasy cakes that look tempting, although I didn't try any. You can choose between indoor seating with table service or outdoor seating without table service. Overall, it's a great spot for enjoying coffee and a snack.
I had a wonderful birthday brunch at this restaurant today. The menu had excellent choices for all of us - one person had the leek, wild rice and mushroom strudel, two had the BBF croissants with brie and bacon, and one had the grilled cheddar cheese with ham; all of the dishes were great. The lattes, coffee, and London Fog drinks were also fantastic. For dessert, there were so many options to choose from, but our favorite was the chocolate chunk cookies - they were the best ever. Don't miss out on this amazing place. We will definitely be returning again and again.
