What a lovely place. Situated on the col du Babaou in the massif des Maures and only 8 km's from Collobrieres you find this good restaurant with traditional french cooking. The place has a beautiful view on the mountains. When you arrive, you are met...by donkeys walking around freely on the dirt road. The place is placed on a little hilltop and surrounded by beautiful old chestnut trees growing everywhere on the slopes leading to Collobrieres. It is a quiet serene place, simple but genuine. The kitchen is good value for money. Do not expect posh decor or fancy serving. This is truly rural.
It has been around 5 years since I came here with my husbandGave a 5 star then and a 5 star nowMy friend got the chicken parm dinner.
The food is spotty at best Sometimes good, sometimes not so good.
I really wanted to love this place, but just couldn't.
