The strawberries inside the crepe were clearly previously frozen then cooked to mush. The picture in the menu shows 4 crepes covering the plate but all I got was 2 small crepes. There is a lack of signs telling new customers where to order or how to order. The person taking my order mistakenly put avocado on my husband's croissant sandwich instead of as a side as clearly listed as a side in the menu. The croissant sandwich was good but again very small. Will not be returning
This place takes you to the rustic places of Europe, Stone walls, fireplace, I definitely love this place, sometimes the service fails, The staff is friendly but on 2 occasions I was served by people who were a bit rude, in relation to what they sell; I really like to buy at Le Madeline the croissants, the almond one is so good so far, my little one love it the plain, the caffe is subtle with a super nice flavor, of the desserts I've tried, the creme brulee has the first place, the fruit tart are also delicious. It is ideal to eat with the family, or to talk with your friends over coffee or just work, the atmosphere is super nice.
Hidden French gem of Columbia! The breakfast here is to die for, their fresh pastries greet you at the door, with the espresso machine wurring away. The staff welcomes you and is so helpful. Food is prepared quickly and doesn't keep you waiting. Don't worry tho, the quality is there! The ambiance of this place is perfectly cozy and homley for a cup of coffee.
Late breakfast, i desired a different dining experience, la Madeleine was today choice. Amazingly brick building with arched entrance, opened door, to a warm, invitingly fireplace a blazed, dark dining room seating and tables, European feel, spacious and natural light, Delicious desserts in a display case, I want one of each, purchased 3 heart shaped cookies. Shelves held jarred foods to be added, home cooking. Ala carte, choices of crispy salads, various soups, all day breakfast, fountain drinks, juices, milk and sparkling water. I ordered a breakfast sandwich at the register, egg, bacon, cheese on warm croissant. First bite was marvelously light, not a heavy meal, I enjoyed immensely. Delighted, I have discovered a new pleasing dining experience with planning many returns.
I am now physically sick as a direct result of eating this food. I was perfectly fine before. I will be contacting the health department to report as I have no doubt this is a direct result of the food preparation and unsanitary conditions of the restaurant. Update: gas stations have been quality food than this place. Food was in fact cold and disgusting. Clearly had been made before hang and been sitting with no attempt to heat it up. The bread on the sandwich was rock hard and stale and the “soup” was lumpy and the texture of watery oatmeal. I assume it’s supposed to resemble potatoes. All you can taste is salt. From the little that I ate i immoderately felt queasy and then very Ill after less than an hour. We ordered a pickup order of almost $50 and when we got there the drinks we ordered were out of stock. We were denied a refund AND denied the option of getting another drink and expected to leave empty handed after spending almost $10 on drinks that were not given to us. My husband had to fight with the employee and waste more of our time just to get a refund the employee was too lazy to process. Imagine how much “effort” they put into the food and cleanliness. The whole restaurant was dirty and disorganized and the power kept going out. I can’t imagine what the kitchens look like. We would have been fine just leaving with a different drink or even a fountain drink but they couldn’t even manage to do that. Don’t waste your money here. I’m sure by the time we get home the food will be cold and soggy.
